Penn wins late night thrilling match on last match pin to defeat St Georges
St. Georges visited William Penn in a match that determined the Flight A championship for the season. The Colonials came away with the 36-27 victory in the match which came down to the last match of the night to decide the winner and crown the Flight A champion. Middletown stuns No. 2 Sanford in front of back to back state champs The Middletown Cavaliers stunned the No. 2 team in the state, the Sanford Warriors as the school honored the back-to-back 2004-05 basketball state championship teams. The Cavaliers defeated the Warriors 53-51 handing them their second consecutive loss. Sanford had been No. 1 for several consecutive weeks before losing last week to Salesianum and now falling to Middletown.
